The SDR management team is the key asset of
the company. Between the two principals, they have over 30
years of experience in general management, international
trading, diplomatic services, entrepreneurial ventures, finance,
marketing, project management and engineering. Both have
strong academic and practitioner credentials and have a history
of success and high achievement. They also both have experience
in managing companies from the start-up phase to grow into
successful, well-respected enterprises.
SDR’s people have a broad vision of the world and a
keen interest in history, sociology and philosophy. This
underpins our ethical considerations, they way we conduct
our business and our dealings with different cultures. |

Stephen Diver,
the Managing Director of SDR, has had extensive professional
experience in New Zealand, Germany, Austria, Poland, Australia
and Russia. After working for the New Zealand Treasury as
an economist and serving as the New Zealand Trade Commissioner
to Germany and Eastern Europe for 6 years, he returned to
New Zealand to set up SDR.
His background is in the arts (MA in Philosophy and Russian,
University of Victoria, New Zealand) and business (MBA, University
of Otago, New Zealand). Commanding various European languages,
he has an excellent understanding of cross-cultural exchanges
and how this impact on international business.
This helps him to bridge the cultural chasm between Australasian
companies and their potential overseas partners or purchasers.
Stephen specialises in making connections, setting up deals
and leading negotiations between parties. |

Tony Driscoll,
is a Principal of SDR and brings with him a wealth of experience in
financial and corporate management. Tony has a Bachelor of Commerce
degree from Auckland University and is a member of the New Zealand
Institute of Chartered Accountants.
After qualifying, Tony worked for a major international Chartered
Accounting firm in New Zealand and London. He then worked in senior
roles in the corporate sector in both the professional services and
food industries. Tony has worked extensively across South East Asia.
The focus of Tony’s work is market research, identification of
potential acquisition targets, dealing with negotiations and managing
the acquisition process. |

Dr. Anton Daubner, is a Principal
of SDR and is located in Dortmund, Germany. He has a PhD in Process Engineering
from University of Bochum and was educated in finance and business administration
in MBA courses at Duke University, North Carolina, USA. For more than 10 years
he was managing director of companies in Germany in the fields of mechanical
and process engineering as well as in the agricultural and food industry. In 2002
he became CEO of WestfaliaSurge, a strong international player in the dairy industry,
with several hundred million Euro turnover, where he integrated acquisitions and
reorganized the whole international organization.
The focus of Anton will be to support the clients of SDR in Europe and North America. |

Ryno Verster
is a Director of SDR. He started his career as an electrical
engineer, specialising in design and later in project management.
In recent years he has branched out to finance and financial
modelling. His professional experience extends across South
Africa, New Zealand, Lesotho and Switzerland.
With his background in engineering (MSc in Electrical Engineering,
University of Stellenbosch, South Africa) and business (MBA,
University of Otago, New Zealand), Ryno has a strong analytical
and numerical bent. He is however also very much a people’s
person with a successful record of dealing with complex relationship
issues.
Ryno works predominantly in analysing and valuing businesses,
developing financial models and assisting with strategic
planning. |
